Pantie Oaklie began her burlesque journey in 2008 - co-founding two burlesque troupes in San Antonio, Texas. She has developed her art over the last 14 years- including taking the stage at the Texas Burlesque Festival 2011 and the Bristol Burlesque Festival 2014 - and across Texas cities until 2018. She has gained her notoriety performing acts ranging from classic to neo burlesque - to also include such talents as nude staged readings with Naked Girls Reading San Antonio chapter - and she has found herself privileged to perform on stages of all sizes. Last seen in Colorado Springs and Salida, Pantie has been broadening her horizions. From performing in to producing events of all sizes, Pantie is the Shimmy Shakin’ SharpShooter wiggling her way across these United States! In 2022, she returned to her hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and hosts the SouthTown ShowClub on third Thursdays at Bar Ludivine in SouthTown!
As a burlesque dancer, producer, and teacher - Pantie Oaklie has strived to share her love of dance and expression everywhere she has traveled - and hopes to do so long into the future.
For 15 years, she has choreographed, planned, and danced burlesque routines for audiences in South Texas, Colorado, and points elsewhere. Bolles said the art form appeals to her not only because of its ties to vintage fashion and culture but because she feels it’s empowering.
“I have a long and extensive background in the theater,” she said, “and burlesque is the only art form where I control all the aspects of it. I control what my costume looks like. I control all of my choreography. I control exactly what people see, and when.”
